The Nov 30th/Dec 7th double issue of TIME.com put out a controversial cover “The COVID Winter, Vaccines Are Coming, So Are The Hard Months”.
Speculation of a “dark winter” arose when Presidential Candidate Joe Biden mentioned the phrase during speeches (Link below).
According to Sky News Australia, “Joe Biden’s ‘dark winter’ arrives in America” as “Sky News contributor Miranda Devine says Joe Biden’s ‘dark winter’ has arrived as he is about to ‘shut down restaurants and everything else'”.
Devine continues stating “You do, I think, lose sight of the fact that the death rate has plummeted enormously since the beginning of the pandemic… [In America] the death rate mortality rate for Covid-19 is 2.2%”.
